Tekken 8: Release Date, Roster, Trailer & More – EarlyGame

Sep 16, 2022

Let’s discuss.
Guys, it’s finally time to talk about Tekken 8 and everything important that there is to know, such as the release date, the roster and more. Get ready for some action!
It was only at EVO 2022 that Tekken 8 was teased. Back then, we didn’t get much more than a teaser trailer, and we were left with a yearning for more and quite frankly, a couple of questions. That has now been stilled and a few of those questions were answered because Tekken 8 got officially revealed.
We’ve got all the important info that you could ever want on Bandai Namco’s new fighting game.

I’m not so mean as to put the info that you’re probably most excited about (next to the roster) at the very bottom (though our time spent on page would benefit from it. Look how nice I am today). Unfortunately, no matter if I put it right here or at the bottom, the disappointment will remain the same: there is no release date for Tekken 8 yet.

The most recent trailer that we received merely states that we should “stay tuned” for updates. I can only give you an educated guess for when it’ll release and that would be late 2023. EVO 2022 was the teaser trailer, State of Play the announcement trailer, and then it usually takes about a year for a game like that to release. Don’t quote me on that, though. It’s just a guess to lower the disappointment.
Tekken 8 will release on PC and next-gen consoles, so PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. We recently wrote about Forspoken, which will also release on next-gen and PC only, and I will repeat what I said there: it is high-time that you invest in a gaming PC or a next-gen console (preferably a PS5, but that might just me being biased).
I know I make it sound easier than it is, but going forward, upcoming games will release less and less on PS4 and Xbox One. It’s time to upgrade, guys.

I know, you’ve been waiting for this one ever since you read it in the headline. However, just like with the release date, I want you to calm down. Otherwise, you’ll be disappointed.
After all, we’ve only just received the trailer and that’s the only source of information that we have on the roster. Therefore, the confirmed character roster is small… like… really small.
… I told you so.

You might remember the EVO 2022 teaser trailer that dropped about a month ago. The crowd went wild when it popped up and rightfully so. The graphics upgrade… damn. At the State of Play that happened on September 13, we finally got the announcement for Tekken 8 as well as an actual trailer that you can watch right here and right now. Enjoy, my friends:
